Beacons of Hope 2021/ 2022
This is the year I turned 60. A milestone year. I want it to be meaningful. So I set a target. These 2 pieces got the year to a good start. The funds raised went to supporting the homeless and re- skilling them so that they can re enter the workforce again.
Fundraiser for Afghan women and children
When approached, I readily agreed. Children and women are close to my heart, so I painted and helped in this fundraiser.
Assisi Hospice Fundraiser
Threescore is a milestone. I collaborated with Ying of YokeYing.Art, my college mate and art friend. She is an accomplished artist and also a smithing genius in brass and silver. I painted and she smithed ! Together we produced 2 pieces of artwork of a different kind. Proceeds to Assisi Hospice.
Kampung Siglap
Commissioned by i12 Katong and Sound of Art, I produced 2 paintings for silent auction to raise funds for Kampung Siglap, a life skills training centre for the displaced in Singapore.
