The DECADE ahead...

I had texted him, a friend of the same vintage. His birthday today, so I wished him "A blessed birthday" . Funnily, he ended up wishing me instead! A heartfelt exchange with .... "May God grant you the desires of your heart and may the decade before be even more fulfilling and fruitful for you." WOW ... sure feels like it is my birthday today !!!

It sets me thinking on the decade of the 50s that has just whisked past me. Indeed, it has been most meaningful, LIFE CHANGING in fact. My past caught up with me, old friends reconnected and friendships renewed. And somehow, in a series of turns and twists, amazingly and surprisingly , I became an artist and now works full time in a profession that I never ever dreamed of.

What lies ahead in the next decade of 60s?? Aiyo, I don't know lah. 60 is three scores. A milestone year. Got to do something right ??? Truth be told, some things are shaping up, most of the time, not all by me ... but whatever lies ahead, I will take it in my stride. I love my work and I am looking forward to what God has in store for me.

Dear friends, thank you for journeying with me. The year's not ended yet but things are just happening to make me reflect and think... ya, i do have a lot to be thankful for this decade. Truly, A LOT.
